Hi there, thanks for visiting 2 Nice 2 Slice’s website!
My name is Pauline O’Shea and I am the cake artist behind 2 Nice 2 Slice. I am a fully qualified cake designer, confectioner and baker. I trained in the National Bakery School of Ireland and qualified through the City and Guilds of London Institute.
I have been in the cake decorating industry for more than 20 years and in 2012 I left my day job to pursue my dream of starting my very own business creating elegant bespoke wedding cakes and extraordinary 3D sculpted celebration cakes. 2 Nice 2 Slice has been honoured to win awards at the Dublin Sugarcraft Guild in 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2020. My wedding cakes have won awards for their design and high quality finish including a Gold Award at the 2018 and 2020 Dublin Sugarcraft Show.
In the 8 years so far I have designed and created beautiful, one of a kind wedding cakes which have been the centrepieces of our clients’ wedding day. I have also made 3D bespoke celebration cakes which have a special meaning to our clients, transporting the recipient back to wonderful memories and making guests smile all over the southeast.
I truly believe a cake must taste as good on the inside as it looks on the outside so you can rest assured that I invest an equal amount of time and effort into making my cakes taste delicious. I use only the freshest ingredients and where possible, I use local suppliers. All this comes from my new HSE-certified cake studio/bakery in the beautiful rolling hills of Tullahought in south Kilkenny.

Only crumbs left! It was demolished not even ten minutes after it was sliced for the reception! Not even the icing ribbon survived. We had to fight to get some! Every tier tasted out of this world and it was a thing of true beauty when it was still in one piece!
